World Première
In 2004 the Duo were awarded a highly prestigious fellowship from the
Borletti-Buitoni Trust. They used the money to commission the German
composer Detlev Glanert to write a Two Piano Concerto, which was premièred
with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Martyn Brabbins in Glasgow

BBC Proms 2009
The Piano Duo made two appearances at the BBC Proms on 9th August 2009
as part of the “Multiple Pianos Day”, one of the highlights of the
festival. They presented a brand new commission: “Left
Light”, a witty Two Piano Concerto by Anna Meredith, alongside Britten
Sinfonia and Ludovic Morlot. Later they joined Colin Currie and
Sam Walton (with whom they have worked together many times before) in Bártok's
Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion.
